Dress installation of muslin and cotton threads, Zionskirche, Berlin, 2001
The installation was designed for an exhibition in the Zionskirche in Berlin and nods to the church’s neo-Gothic architectural elements. The church’s delicate, upwardly jutting pillars are mirrored by a 16-meter-long cone made of countless cotton threads. They transport an empty dress upwards, terminating in a dark opening at the highest point of a dome at the top.
