What and how strongly do we remember? How can the absent unfold anew in the reading and emergence of a trace? What is its sound? What is the periphery and where is the transition to the center? Where is the perception of what we are always connected to: Inside and outside, mass and space, in and out, giving and receiving.
Three performers and a cameraman listen into the four cardinal directions; into the resonant space of time and place. The basic elements used in the performance, consisting of four panels and four stones, relate in texture and proportion to both the existing spatial architecture and the human body. Elementary forms of movement, such as walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, and the focus on the spatial experience of transition and connection allow the performance to be experienced in its relation to the moving history of this place as a transformational and poetic-playful ritual.
